Biriya Forest

The Jewish National fund planted the Biriya Forest in the 1950s. Spread over an area of approximately 20,000 dunam (about 5,000 acres), it is the largest forest in the Galilee, with some 50 million trees.
We recommend traveling on Derekh Nof Biriya, which you enter near the village of Amuka. Along this road you can take short stops at Ein Yavnit, Ein Navoriya and Hurvat Navoriya (the ruins of an ancient synagogue), the Botna Valley and Ein Gaver.
A ride through Biriya Forest is suitable for all types of vehicles and of an easy level. A good endpoint is Biriya Fortress.

Dishon Riverbed

The Dishon Riverbed is an attraction for all lovers of the outdoors, especially during the winter. The winding route offers a wealth of spectacular views and natural surroundings along with uphill and downhill rides, rocky paths and water crossings.
The ride is intended for 4x4 vehicles, and of easy to difficult level, depending on the season and the amount of rainfall. Enter the route opposite Kibbutz Ayelet Hashachar. The length of the trip varies depending on your point of exit.

Rosh Pina Wadi

The route is along the riverbed with its three springs: Ein Gai Oni, Ein Kadan and Ein Pina. The linear route begins in the Kiryat Sarah neighborhood of Tzfat and descends along the riverbed to Rosh Pina (3.5 km – about 2 miles); for a circular route, begin and end in Rosh Pina (near the cemetery). The best times to visit are when the helmoniyot (sternbergia clusiana) are in bloom (late November) or when the almond trees blossom (Tu Beshvat). For 4x4 vehicles only. Estimated duration: 1.5 hours.
